Born the third daughter to prominent holders, Ceinwen grew up in a stable and structured environment. From a young age, she was betrothed to the second son of a well connected trade family. She was given an excellent education and her parents encouraged her to choose a trade so that she could become a productive and valuable member of society and an asset to her future husband. When she reached the appropriate age, she expressed her wish to become a healer and was sent off to Healer Hall to study and learn under the Craftmaster’s tutelage. Ceinwen loved her chosen trade and worked hard to improve her knowledge and demonstrate to her Master her skill and competence. As the time approached for her wedding day, she was informed that the wedding would have to be postponed due to a severe illness being suffered by her betrothed. It was believed that he would survive, but it would be some time before he would be well enough to travel. In the meantime, she found that she had an affinity for herbs and decided to specialize. Her predilection led her to High Reaches Hold where she has served under Master Herbalist, Burran.

Was caught alone on a mountainside when a volcano erupted. Crossed paths with an unknown blue rider who took her to join the others on the beaches of the small island off the coast.

Planning for a New Home

• Ceinwen is left on an island by a bluerider from High Reaches Weyr and comes to the aide of Leatherell, who has suffered some sort of head injury.

What once was is no more

• Ceinwen wanders into the infirmary with some herbs she collected.
  
• Tiball 'enlightens' her.
  
• Echo introduces herself and puts her to work.
  
• K'vys and Oneth are brought in for treatment. Ceinwen jumps in to help K'vys, while Echo takes care of the brown rider's dragon.
  
• Ceinwen is taken aback by the arrival of a bronze rider, there to visit K'vys. His presence makes her feel certain feelings she is unaccustomed to. She overhears that his name is R'gant when she listens to him request an update from Echo on K'vys' condition later in the evening.
  
• Ceinwen is alerted by the sounds of yelling and the squawking of a dragon early the next morning and rounds the corner to find her patient out of his bed with a new injury.
  
• After getting K'vys settled, Ceinwen has a little talk with Echo.
  
• When K'vys comes to, Ceinwen explains where he is and the course of his treatment before he once again succumbs to exhaustion.

Flits Abound as Eggs Crack

• Ceinwen hears about the miniature eggs and decides to go watch the hatching for herself, but finds that her attention continues to be pulled to the alluring bronze rider, R'gant.

Be wary of the wherrie

• Ceinwen goes for a morning walk and wanders into a wherrie nest.
  
• Landron comes upon her and rescues her from the wild beast.
  
• The two spend some time getting to know one another as they walk back to the Weyr.
