Celebrity Name for Face Claim Kate Bosworth
Character Personality: How do you explain a rose? She is beautiful and sweet, charming and funny. She is also a complete and utter b****. In general she is easy going, and easy to get along with, but she believes in what's right, and she knows without it, all are lost. Elandri has the personality of someone who grew up too fast. She can he serious and hard-hearted, but she likes to find her laughs where she can, which is often an inopportune moment. She usually is full of self-confidence, until she needs it. Then she sheepishly backs away with a grin. She will charge head first into battle, but blush out of a dance. Her heart is often telling her to go against her mind, but she has a hard time decided what is right or wrong. She has never been in love, and if you ask her she would say she never wants to, but really it is her strongest desire. Ever since she was first told the stories of the dragon riders. It was her dream to join those ranks, but her foster family would never allow it. She loves to joke and kid. Laughter is one of her few escapes, so she enjoys laughing often. It keeps her young. She usually doesn't get along with females, she finds their behavior ridiculous, usually.
Character Background: Elandri seldom will discuss her past. Perhaps she should be grateful that she was taken in, but she cannot help but feel resentment. She was abandoned by her parents when she was two. The family that took her in was a well to do craftsman family. They were a large family with four other children, and Elandri was used more as a maid then treated like a child. They weren’t cruel to her, but once she was old enough she took on all the chores. They didn’t treat her like one of their own. She was more of hired help.
You’d think that after so long Elandri would become accustomed to this way of life. She didn’t. She was not some beast of burden to ease their lives. She quickly became resentful toward the family, and had no objections to letting them know. Surprisingly they never beat her. A few times the mater of the house would raise his voice, and occasionally he would shove or grab her, but she was never beaten. Perhaps they were afraid of her beating back? She tolerated this life, and usually had no problems with working around the household, but she was far from happy.
Elandri departed from the home when she reached twenty-two years of age. She was more than old enough to make her own life, and that was exactly her goal. She traveled for quite sometime. She tried to learn about the ways of other cultures, but she didn’t particularly succeed. She had heard tales of the dragon riders since her childhood, and they had become the focus of her mind. The stories enraptured her, and she became fascinated by the dragons and quickly found a home working in the Lower Caverns of the Weyr. She dreamed of someday becoming a rider herself.

The breeze was light, but enough to make the wild flowers that lined the path to Castle Cousland dance. A rabbit blazed down the trail with a Mabari hound close on it's heels. In it's fear it ran dangerously close to a large war horse. The gray stallion snorted in surprise, and pinned his ears at Viseryon when he followed suit, but Grievous paid neither of them more mind. He knew where he was, and like Viseryon, he was glad to be back in Highever. Elandri could feel it. The breeze shifted, and hit her full on in the face. She didn't shy from it, she raised her face to meet it, and inhaled. The loose strands danced around her face like the flowers, and she smiled. This was her first time back in Highever since the night that Duncan saved her, and it was the first time she had seen Fergus since her ceremonial parade, a year ago. She had to admit, it felt good to be back. She only wished that her betrothed was here with her, but she knew they would have plenty of time for that after the wedding. Instead she was traveling with one of her close friends, Devin. It hadn't taken them more than a few days to reach Highever from Denerim, but she was glad that tonight they would eat well cooked food, and sleep in real beds. She had had enough of sleeping on the ground and Alistair's cooking during their quest against the blight.
Much to Alistair's protests, Elandri was wearing simple drake skin armor instead of her usual warden-commander suit. Ferelden was at peace now, for the most part. And she didn't need dragon bone armor to deal with a few bandits. Her shield was slung over her back casually, and her sword was sheathed neatly under it. They hadn't encountered any problems during their travels, much to Elandri's dismay, so she was glad that she had chosen to only wear light armor. Alistair hadn't been happy when she had announced that she would be making this trip. He had known that Eamon wouldn't let him come when he had matters to attend to in Denerim, and he knew that Elandri wouldn't allow a small company of soldiers, so Alistair sent the best archer he knew, Devin. Elandri didn't mind this. Devin was a good friend of hers, and she always enjoyed his company. Leaving Alistair's side was the hardest thing she had done in a long time, but she looked forward to seeing her brother. She only hoped that returning to Highever wouldn't be too much for her to handle without him.
When Castle Cousland was a few yards away Elandri halted Grievous, and motioned for Devin to join her. "That was once my home." Her voice was wistfully, and her eyes were misty. She was far away, and remembering old times, both good and bad. She could feel the tears rising in her eyes, but she shook her head and smiled. "Fate works in mysterious ways." Viseryon's bark stirred her. He wagged his tail, or what little tail he had, before running ahead. She could feel Grievous growing anxious beneath her. They both knew exactly where they where. "Come on, Fergus will be waiting." She nudged Grieve in his sides, and the stallion trotted the rest of the way up the path. The guards at the gate had already seen them, and had opened the gates wide for their entrance. Grieve pranced through the gate, and whinnied towards the stable. He was looking forward to seeing familiar faces.
Fergus came out to greet them. Elandri swung from her saddle, and leaped into his arms. Fergus laughed and patted the back of her head. She finally released him, and took a few steps back. "So the hero of Ferelden has decided to pay her old brother a visit." Elandri kicked at him with a scowl. "I'm kidding! He added quickly after dodging the kick. Elandri turned to Devin and motioned for him to join her. "Where's Alistair? I'm surprised that he let you out of his sight for more than a minute without soldiers." He joked when he saw Devin. "He didn't want to, but he couldn't get away, and he knew how much I wanted to come." Elandri explained before nudging Devin. "Fergus, this is Devin Thronis." She paused and looked back at Devin. "And Devin, this is my brother, Teyrn Fergus Cousland."
