Echo’s past…
Echo was born in the aftermath of her older sister’s death, and earned her name because of that. She never really had a mother, so she grew very close to her father, Oer. She grew up under his care and became a Healer Apprentice at a young age. Before she was Searched, she became a Jr. and then Sr. Journeyman Healer.

She was Searched but never got to truly stand for a hatching, and even if she had tried, destruction stopped everything in its path and Echo was forced to retreat. She made the jumps with a Bronzerider, G’len, but G’len died from too much ash intake, so she switched to a Bluerider. Upon arriving at the Weyr, she whisked herself away to the infirmary, making sure everything was perfect for those who were wounded or sickened during the apocalypse.

| what once was is no more

• First day on the job, Echo is taking care of the sick people as everyone else slowly starts to wind down.
  
• In this thread, Echo meets Tiball and Ceinwen (candidates), R'gant of Bronze Xanith, MasterHarper Lilia, and K'vys and Brown Oneth (weyrlings).
  
• K'vys is brought in injured and unconscious. Ceinwen takes K'vys while Echo, being the Dragonhealer, takes care of Oneth.
  
• Echo meets R'gant and Lilia, then the two file out.
  
• Echo falls asleep, then wakes up to K'vys' screams. She inadvertently injures K'vys' elbow. She looks after Oneth.
  
• After looking after Oneth, Echo leaves.

• Echo searches for R'gant while the eggs hatch. She finds him close to the Weyrwoman and goes to him.
  
• Echo enthusiastically tells him that both K'vys and Oneth are doing fine.
  
• Little Aloenna Impresses to Echo, and Echo names her Aloenna because the firelizard liked the sound of 'Aloe in a.'

• Not tired after the hatching, Echo takes her little green with her to sit by the Weyr's lake.
  
• L'yst arrives and admires the small firelizard Echo has.
  
• Chloe and Alorath arrive and Alorath Searches Echo when Echo voices her fear about having to be re-Searched.
  
• Maram and Chalarath arrive and Maram discusses some things to the trio already there, especially going to find a Hold.
  
• L'yst thinks finding a new Hold would be wonderful and he asks Echo if she would want to go along; Echo does, and retreats to the Infirmary.

• Echo winds up arriving late to the small meeting and only just catches S'ren as L'yst leaves.
  
• S'ren allows her to climb onto Kasilath's back and the two launch into flight, following L'yst and the person going with L'yst.
