m11 d13, morning
The sunlight hit them almost as quickly as the cold of between itself. The glare was nearly blinding to the rider as his dragon floated lazily on the air currents near the pair of islands. E'ral coughed lightly from the ash and dust he had mistakenly inhaled several hours ago while they were searching the other nearby islands. It had been several hours since the mistaken breath, but his chest still irritated him slightly and he imagined the cold of between hadn't helped much either.
Agoneth twisted his head back, eyes whirling in concern. Agoneth patted Agoneth's blue hide affectionately
"I'll be fine dear heart, it's just a cough." E'ral assured his worried partner
Very well, but if you so much as think about getting worse, I will ensure that nothing separates us again. Agoneth replied, his eyes shifting between worry, and a mischievous air of dominance.
"I told you, you never would have fit in the caves on that last island and I had to check to see if anyone was there. Now lay off, I said I will be fine." E'ral could only chuckle slightly at his dragons antics as he shook his blue head in mock contempt. Agoneth was a bit over-protective at times, but he always could cheer up any mood.
Another cough passed through him and he was reminded just how tired he was, and by the faded look of Agoneth's hide, he could tell that the blue dragon was tiring as well. The two had begun the search for the dragons Agoneth had claimed to be nearby early yesterday afternoon, and had hopped numerous islands in the hope of finding them. With the lack of rest the pair had received, these two neighboring Islands were going to have to be their resting spot for tonight, dragons or no.
A bugle interrupted E'ral's thoughts. The second joyful bugle came from Agoneth's jaw and E'ral looked down to see a crater in the island and movement within. A sigh of relief escaped his parched lips as the thought of arriving, somewhere for once, greeted his weary mind. Within moments, Agoneth was beating his wings to slow his descent before landing on the sands near the lake on the east side of the bowl. They had made it.
