m11, day after the Hatching Party, Morning
N’la made her way into the dining hall, rubbing her eyes, instinctually following the smell of klah and food. The woman wasn’t capable of coherent thought before she had a cup of klah. She somewhat blindly sat at the first chair she stumbled to, not really paying attention to anything around her. The smell of klah drew near, and miraculously there was a cup full of the wonderful stuff on the table in front of her.
She gulped it down, nearly burning her tongue, but not caring in the least. With a happy sigh and a clear head, N’la leaned back in her chair and looked around.
You drink too much of that.
}Hush.{

Still chuckling to himself after having unceremoniously awoken the weyrlings, L'yst entered the Dining Caverns to see to his own breakfast. His staff would see to the weyrlings for breakfast. He'd meet them again in a few candlemarks where the real training would begin.
Looking around, he noticed that the cavern was fairly emptied. **As I'd expect,** he thought, considering how long the party had lasted into the night. His eyes rested on a fellow blue-rider. One he hadn't had much chance to get to know yet.
Grabbing a mug of steaming Klah, he walked over to her table.
"Morning, N'la. Mind if I join you?"

N'la noticed L'yst entering and idly wondered what the smile on his face was for. She didn't really know much about him, other than he was a blue-rider and in charge of the weyrlings. Maybe he was a 'morning person'.
N'la managed to suppress her shudder at the thought.
She smiled when he asked to join her. "Go ahead," she gestured that he have a seat. "Did you do something fun this morning or are you one of those people who always wake up with a grin on their face?"

He chuckled as he took a long drink from his klah.
"I just got to rouse the weyrlings. It's a rather amusing task the day after celebration. I'm sure you remember those times." He chuckled again. He hated greatly disliked the Weyrlingmaster in those days himself, but as he grew into the position, he had learned why they had treated the young ones they way they had.
"One of them showered with their clothes on. It was rather amusing." He looked up when one of the kitchens girls brought a tray of food for them both.
"Thank you," he replied, accepting the tray and quickly digging into the food. "Good," he mumbled as he continued to eat. After eating nearly half the tray, L'yst stopped and sat back a bit, looking at his fellow blue-rider.
"We haven't spoken much N'la, since you're arrival. How have you been settling into the Weyr?"

"I just got to rouse the weyrlings ... One of them showered with their clothes on. It was rather amusing."
N'la scoffed. "There've been mornings when I've felt like doing the same... come to think of it, I have done the same," she laughed, "And not just when I was a weyrling."
She nodded her thanks as the tray of food arrived, her mouth watering. Klah and food. She was beginning to feel a little more human, and less like an animal that just rolled out of its den.
"We haven't spoken much N'la, since you're arrival. How have you been settling into the Weyr?"
N'la paused with her cup of klah halfway to her lips. "Fine, I suppose," she took a long swallow, sighed with a small smile of appreciation and leaned back, studying the cup. "Aereth's right, I do drink too much of this stuff," she muttered to herself.
Glancing back up at L'yst, she continued, "I'm getting used to the way things work, I think. Still don't know very many people, but that'll change. It's kind of incredible what you've all managed to do here." She lifted her mug in a brief toast before taking another sip.
