--- This EVENT thread means that a character can be in two places at once: In the main RP AND in the Event. --- ~*~ She was only half awake with Tobias curved around her back and she knew. She’d known it was coming but had no way of knowing exactly when. A tremor of fear ran through her knowing this would be a test their feelings might not survive. She turned in his arms. "Tobias," she said urgently trying to wake him. "Alorath is rising. I have to go..." a small breath caught in her throat for a moment. They'd done all the discussing they could before hand. "I love you." she said before she slid out of their bed and threw on a loose dress. Then she hurried down the ramp toward the flight room. She could feel the pull the rising lust of her beautiful green. Alorath darted into the air and rocketed past the sunning dragons on the peaks welcoming the first rays of the sun. She screamed defiance at them and then tore into the sky who will win me this day. she bugled back at them dancing in the air above their heads. Tag Any

He grumbled in his sleep, not really stirring when she'd first moved. His arms wrapped protectively around the woman he loved, the woman who carried his babe within her. "Mmm?" He queried, trying to shake off his sleep when he heard her stirring. By the time he was awake enough to realize what was happening, Chloe was already gone. Tobias sat up, his feet dangling over the bed, his head cradled in his hands. Was he really ready to tackle this? How did he feel about what was going to happen? By the shell he knew. He wanted to go and grab her and hold her to him and never let her out of her sight. Dragons be damned. His fist slammed into the bed as that thought took hold of him. "I've got to get out of here." He growled to himself. He couldn't be here, couldn't witness what was going to happen. Grabbing his clothes, he donned them quickly and within a short amount of time he was on his way to the Tannery. He'd seen Alorath, hide glowing against the morning sky as he'd hurried from the Weyr. He loved the green because he loved Chloe, but this morn, this more, he despised her. For it was Alorath who would take his Chloe from him, allow her to be touched by someone else. His fists clenched at his sides at the very thought of it. He would work and work, and work, until he could sort out his own feelings over what was happening within and around him. End TobiasJoin Join Join!!! I Promise Tobias won't hurt you ..... mostly lol

Alorath rises! Woreth bugled to his lifemate.
L'yst, who even now, some time after the loss of the weyrlings, was still not himself. He stirred when he heard Woreth's call, but he didn't respond right away. He was still so tired. It had been this way every morning since that dreadful day when the weyrlings had cried out their despair and vanished /between/ under his guidance. He put on a brave face, but inside, he felt almost hollow, unfeeling.
I will win you, glorious Alorath. I will fly the skies with strong wings to guide me!
L'yst finally roused himself as he felt the stirrings that Woreth's desire were causing. He would soon forget the dark sorrow that seemed to weigh on him each day as he become one with his magnificent blue.
Rising, he slipped on some clothing that would be easy for a Flight and padding the ground, he made his way to the Flight chamber while Woreth watched Alorath take to the skies. His own wings beat strongly as he launched himself after her. L'yst picked up his pace until he joined the others who were gathering in the chamber.

I fly after Alorath!
The words jolted K'vys awake. "What, huh?" he mumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He suddenly felt different. His breathing was more ragged, his heart beat was quickening.
What was happening? He heard Oneth bugling and suddenly his eyes opened wide. Oneth was rising. It was his first. K'vys gulped and drew in a gasping breath as he felt Oneth's fire coursing through his veins. He wanted to be aloft with him, to chase down the green until he had her in his grasp.
K'vys blinked and realized he was staring at the walls of his weyr. He remembered all his training and quickly got up and started out of his weyr, which he'd just recently acquired.
It was after a drudge stopped, gasped, and dropped her tray that he realized he'd forgot to don his clothing. Stupid, he chided himself, hurrying back and grabbing whatever he could and yanking it on his body.
You are magnificent. You shine like the star in the sky.
K'vys blinked as he'd been racing down the corridors. He'd never known that Oneth was a bit of a poet. He had to stop at one point and close his eyes as the feelings of intense desire and lust coursed through his body.
He hardly knew how he got to the room, though he thought some of the others had guided him by pushing him along. K'vys would never be certain for now all he felt was what Oneth felt, all he saw was what Oneth saw as the brown launched himself into the sky after the tantalizing green.

I will win you, glorious Alorath. I will fly the skies with strong wings to guide me!
Chloe swayed on her feet in the middle of the flight room knowing the riders gathered around her. There was no preference at all from the rider, none of them were in her thoughts so Alorath was free to find the fleetest and most pleasing to herself.
She twisted and turned in the air dodging a bronze easily as she tested them. She bugled and flirted and glowed with health as she darted through the sky.
There was a new handsome young brown that flew determinedly after her and she was tempted.
You are magnificent. You shine like the star in the sky.
She glanced back over her shoulder and crooned encouragement to him. She looped in a circle to get a better look, she did like brown but he was young and still a touch awkward in his courting.
But it was blue Woreth that followed every twist and turn of her flight. Alorath shot straight up and he didn’t miss a wingbeat a hairs breadth behind her all the way.
She shrieked frustration and joy with the same breath as she turned into his embrace. Blue Woreth would win this day.
Chloe shook with the intensity of her bond with the luminous green. She didn’t feel the arms that enfolded her and took her to the waiting bed. She joined as Alorath in the glory of her flight.

He felt the air as his wings pumped harder and harder. His eye solely on the prize. The green hide glistened and glimmered as it soared and danced through the skies. L'yst was one with Woreth. He felt the strong muscular wings, the labored breath as the blue fought valiantly to win the green and managed to keep pace. He was fading though, and if he didn't close the gap soon the others might overtake him and he would lose. Just the thought of that frustration sent L'yst/Woreth plunging forward, darting towards green Alorath/Chloe.
And in that instant he caught her. As Woreth danced in the embrace of the magnificent green, L'yst joined with her rider. The curtains were drawn around the Mating chamber as he took the woman in his arms and soared with her just as his dragon soared with hers.

It had been almost too much for K'vys mind to take in. The thrill of joining with his in a mating flight, the thought that they might win. Yet, Oneth fumbled and turned the wrong way, not once but twice, putting him further and further behind the others.
Oneth, though young and strong, still needed to build his stamina for such flights and soon drifted further behind. Yet he fought valiantly, staying in the Flight until the bitter end.
When Alorath chose, Oneth roared and dropped out of the skies. Exhausted, he took his time returning to the Weyr, while K'vys learned more about the ways of the Weyr following a flight than he ever dared imagine!

Chloe slowly came back to herself from the bond with Alorath. As her mind 'woke up' and the flight lust left she could still hear other couples around the flight room engaging in passion.
Her well rounded belly felt residual stress from her recent activity as she lay there on her side with her back to the other rider. She went through her own memories of the flight and reached out to Alorath.
She smiled at the deeply satisfied green's sleepy reply from where she lay entwined with her mate on the sunny heights above the Weyr. This time she'd chosen a handsome blue and Chloe thought she knew the rider.
As quietly as possible she pushed herself up and then looked over her shoulder to see L'yst behind her. She reached out with a foot to hook her clothing to slip it back on and try to exit the room without waking him.
This didn't feel like other mating flights had in the past, for her at least. The residual dragon lust had one target only, one face that filled her mind. One pair of hands she needed to feel. L'yst was not to blame here, she knew she'd changed but that didn't matter. She loved Alorath above everything else.
And I love you too Chloemine came the sleepy reply. Chloe smiled at the outpouring that flooded her and somehow it didn't seem so bad anymore. She knew she'd have to scoot out of this room as soon as she could find all her clothes and get them back on.

The intensity of the Flightlust left L'yst dozing while Chloe stirred. Her movements, however, finally caused him to awaken again. He leaned up on his elbow and glanced in her direction. He could tell she was eager to leave and L'yst did not fault her for that.
"Thank you Chloe," it was common courtesy after any Flight to at least thank the other. L'yst had no problems with females or males and while this mating had been a bit different due to her pregnancy, it had been a good experience none-the-less.
His eyes drifted to her protruding belly. "I hope I did not harm the baby in anyway," he stated, as he pushed off the bed and reached for his trousers, slipping them over his leg. "I tried to maintain some control, but I have to admit that in that moment I can't say I was careful. I hope all is well." Slipping the trousers up, L'yst rose and buckled them as he looked at her.
He bent down and retrieved an article of her clothing and handed it to her. "Woreth is pleased. Thank you for that. Alorath and you are both true prizes among the Weyr." He reached for his shirt and shoes to finish dressing before they would part ways.

Chloe's worried and guarded look eased at L'yst's words. So many times in the past riders would assume ownership of her person in addition to the mated status of their dragons.
She smiled shyly at his compliment. "Thank you" she said before she caressed her belly. "I turned sideways so we were fine." she said.
She didn't really want to let him know how uncomfortable she was feeling with this thing, almost like it was her first flight all over again. The only person she could think about right that moment was her weyrmate and how he must be feeling over all of this.
But before she went to find him, she needed to take a bath and get rid of the smell of sex that hung about her.
She smiled one last time at Lyst as she took her blouse from his hands and put it on. "I know Alorath is happy too." she said with a shy smile. "Than you for being considerate." she said with gratitude. Then she turned and left the room to find her way to the bathing room near her weyr.
