D'vin glanced around the room, slowly, at all the empty chairs, waiting for people to come and fill them in.
It'd been some time since their arrival at the Weyr, and this was long overdue.
Fear, and worry, had kept him at bay; He was uncertain how many people he knew had survived, and was almost afraid to find out. So many, he knew, had passed without ever leaving Weyr or Hold - But he had little idea how many others. He had taken any and all he could from Ista Weyr and Hold, but those were a startling few. He only prayed more had found their way out.
Now was the time to meet them.
Answering his summons, a father and his young daughter entered the room. D'vin smiled warmly, and gestured them to a chair. A young servingwoman brought over a pitcher of Klah, and offered it to the pair; Only the father accepted. He frowned, as he sipped his Klah, looking around the many chairs arrayed around the room. "Do you have any idea how many more are coming?" Inquired the man, before he added, quickly, "I am Tanill; This is my daughter, Elisie."
D'vin smiled at them, "D'vin. I used to be a Bronzerider at the Weyr. It's a pleasure to meet you both... And, I have little idea. I just put up messages wherever I could, and hoped word of mouth would do the rest."
Jasko walked in, escorting the young woman. D'vin smiled at both, "Ah, Jasko. It's good to see you're well... And her?" He gestured to the young woman Jasko had been taking care of, since Taela's dragon's betweening, which took away her brother.
"We are both well," he nodded, thoughtfully, and quietly took up a seat.
D'vin looked to the door, expectantly, waiting for more arrivals.
