Well, my trusty members, I need some advice and input from all of you.
I want to make Dragon Weyr a fun place for everyone to RP together. With that in mind, what are your thoughts and feelings on the One Place at at Time rule (your character can only be in one place at a time and cannot move on until he/she finishes in that place).
Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you think we should consider some options? Post your comments and vote in the poll to let me know what you think.
Our choices in the poll (since I can't write everything in the poll boxes!) --I like it the way it is -- one regular place at a time and EVENT threads (so like 2 (or more) places at once). --I would like to be able to RP in more than one place at a time but within reason and with some restrictions/guidelines in place (perhaps a limit of so many posts or guidelines for when additional posts would be acceptable). --I hate it and want to be able to RP my character in as many places as I want at a time. --I actually do not like the Events and think we should only be able to RP in one place at a time...period. ---Other - post comments below
Vote away and share your comments below. I'll close the poll when I feel it's had enough time for discussion and voting.

I voted. Personally, I don't like Events, as I never know if my character in the current time line knows about it yet or not. If you do decide to keep Events, some guidelines as to where it falls in the current timeline would be helpful. For example, the Thread thread was confusing. If Thread effects the entire Weyr, shouldn't it be a plot, not an event? Clutching and Hatchings are also confusing, as I don't know whether to RP in the current timeline if my character has done/witnessed it or not.

Excellent comments Sorelle. I've had similar issues myself with the Events, not knowing whether things had or hadn't happened in the new timeline. We will make sure to lay out more specific guidelines with regard to the Events in the future.
Depending on how we decide to go forward from here, we may be changing the nature of Events anyway...

I have been around a long time, most forums issue a "Fluid time" to posting. Meaning everyone can post in or as many threads as they want but they have to keep in mind timeline and if it is not done or they do not have it in a previous thread (yet) then they do not mention it at all in later threads. like say so and so posts walking along the beach to find fire lizard eggs, but also posts in another thread that is to take at a later time. They cannot automatically assume they have a gold or bronze or any type of fire lizard. But as soon as they get one, they can start rping it.... My words might be confusing so let me know if they are.
