She crawled off the bed and looked around the room for some way to help but she was at a loss. She stood in front of him “And just how I’m I supposed to help you out of there?”
She felt tiny next to the big miner and she shook her head chuckling. Then she leaned around him to try and see what had him trapped but with the quilts and furs it was quite impossible.
Looking at his situation critically she shook her head and put her hands on her hips.
“Well, I suppose I’m going to need a new bed anyway” She turned away to toss on a shift and robe quickly. Belting it she found his shirt and pants and brought them within reach.
“Sorry I don’t have anything to fit you but you can use this for cover.” She said with a little smile as she tossed him a drying cloth.
“Unless you can think of something else, I am going to have to go find help.”

“And just how I’m I supposed to help you out of there?”
Kale grunted in reply, still struggling. It served him right. He should have been in the mines when the dragon rose, not here, hurting one of the productive members of society.
"you can use this for cover.”
He held up the small piece of cloth and laughed, then placed it over his nether region.
"Unless you can think of something else, I am going to have to go find help.”
"No," he shouted, shaking his head vehemently. "The fewer people that know about this, the better." He would never live it down. Never. He closed his eyes and sighed. "Just stand back, okay," he asked.
He felt around until his hands and feet found purchase on the broken structure. Taking in a deep breath, he let it out slowly as his bent elbows and knees started to straighten. The bed frame creaked. Veins popped out all over his body and sweat ran down his temple. Wood began to splinter and he took in another breath and released it as he continued to push. The bite mark on his chest opened up with the expansion of the muscles underneath and it began to bleed. A line of crimson ran across his chest and down his side, staining the fur below him.
There was a 'snap', then the entire bed shuddered. Kale let out a roar and, with one final breath and push, he broke the bed in half, sending himself falling the few extra inches to the ground, surrounded by broken wood, tousled furs and rumpled quilts. He lay there a moment, breathing heavily, and then he began untangling himself until he was finally standing. Without looking at Lilia, he found his clothes and put them on.
With a glance at the bed, he said, "I will send for a replacement." He turned and stopped when his eyes met hers. All his existence, he had hoped to meet a woman who could withstand what he had to offer. Lilia had done it without a complaint. Yet, she was far outside his reach. He belonged in the mines. A sadness crossed his face, but he shook it off. Thread was coming. He was needed elsewhere, not wasting his time fixing floors in polished Halls.
"I should go," he said. "I'll get the stone cut for the Hall and install it as soon as I can." He stared at her a second longer, then left the room. Just outside, he stopped and pulled a long reddish-gold hair from his shirt and watched it flutter to the floor as he let it go.

"No," he shouted, shaking his head vehemently. "The fewer people that know about this, the better." he closed is eyes and sighed. "Just stand back, okay,"
She blinked startled and took an instinctive step back. Watching him she squinted and turned away slightly fairly certain he was going to end up breaking something. Either himself or the bed.
At the snap her eyes whipped back while he roared and broke her bed in half. She shook her head and lifted her hands helplessly. Yet he didn't look at her just redressed about as quickly as a person could.
"I will send for a replacement."
She blinked as he just stared at her for a few moments. "No need" she said "We have other beds here." His face seemed to close down and turn away from what had just happened between the two of them.
"I should go," she didn't quite know what to say but that wasn't what she'd expected. Of course he was probably embarrassed about the bed and even more so by what had just sent them out of control at one another
"I'll get the stone cut for the Hall and install it as soon as I can." She started to say something more but by the time she was framing the thought he was gone. Just like that...
She certainly didn't know how to handle his walking out. She sat on a nearby chest rather heavily and immediately flinched at the discomfort. Obviously the experience hadn't been to his liking. He hadn't even let her apologize for biting him
She sighed and looked at the ruins of her bed. She leaned to reach the bell pull and a drudge came almost immediately. "Tell the steward I need a new bed… before dark." the drudge turned to go "Make it a strong one" she said.
Lilia stripped the linens from the ruins of her bed.
