Crafthall Application
Name: Garion
Age: 44
Gender: Male
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Craft Healer
Rank Master
Prior Home: Igen Weyr
Physical Description Garion is six feet tall and weights too little (he forgets to eat). There is something very bird-like about him, maybe it's his long face with piercing eyes or beak-like nose or the way he looks at you without blinking. His hair is mousy brown and swept back from his high brow. It seems to want to do its own thing rather than lay down. His eyes are deep blue colored with some brown flecks.
His bearing is bit hunched so he looks shorter than he is. He has long, bony limbs and very long and nimble fingers. He has gentle smile and surprisingly deep laughter.

Celebrity Name for Face Claim William Fichtner
Character Personality:
Garion is a quite passionate about his craft. He's hardworking and studious person, who is more home at the infirmary than anywhere else. As a result, he spends most of his time there. When working, he is efficient, competent and self-confident. He has a soothing effect on patients and makes them feel safe. When healing, he doesn't hesitate to give orders. In crisis situations he is very cool-headed and calm, able to do what is needed without being disturbed by his surroundings. Some think he is detached but far from it, he is involved with his patients.
Outside his craft Garion is shy (especially around women), clumsy and quiet. He tends to blend into the background and he's not very good at socializing with people.
He has special knack of restoring old medical records or collecting folk-cures from old aunties. With the destruction of the old Weyrs he would dearly love to explore there to find any old records to add to his collection. His office is always well organized and neat, and nothing irritates him more than someone disturbing his papers and hides.
Garion cares deeply about people, but people who deliberately hurt others make him angry and can draw out a rare burst of furious anger from him.
Character Background:
Garion was born and raised near Igen Hold. His parents were cotholders and he had several siblings. He became apprentice healer at the age of twelve. He had always been interested in healing.
Garion became journeyman at the age of nineteen. On his first assignment as journeyman healer, he met and fell in love with woman named Porenne. He asked her to handfast him and she accepted. On the eve of the wedding Porenne told him that she didn't want to marry him after all, and that she was in love with someone else. The wedding was cancelled and Garion was badly heartbroken. This made him shy and wary of women. He returned to the Healer Hall to dedicated himself to his craft.
At the age of 21 Garion began the itinerate life of a typical Journeyman. During the next fifteen turns, he toured different minor holds with occasional stops in healer hall or major holds or Weyrs. Finally at 36 he walked the tables to become a Master Healer and was assigned as Weyrhealer at Igen Weyr.
When the disaster overtook them, he was convinced by Maram's pleas and decided to join the exodus.
Roleplay Sample
He leaned on his desk with both hands staring at the Dragorider seated across from him. He didn't care in the least that H'tran was Weyrleader
"You would put all the people and dragons in this weyr in danger by discounting what Maram has been trying to tell you just because you don't like her?" his voice was incredulous "I know Yentri is jealous but that is no reason to allow this to color your judgment!"
"If you don't like my decisions healer…" he said with a sneer "You can go with her. And if it means anything to you T'pin doesn't believe her either."
He snorted "Like that's a surprise. Everyone knows he want's YOUR job. But, fine… if you won't listen then I WILL go with her."
"Now wait, you know I didn't mean that." he started trying to placate Garion but the healer was fed up with the politics of Igen. He turned his back on the Weyrleader and began deciding what he was going to take. Space would be at a premium.
He focused so hard on his task that he never even heard H'tran sigh and leave shaking his head.
