Dragonrider Application
Name: B'lor
Age: 30
Gender: male
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Rankif any Wingsecond
Physical Description B'lor has a delicate and even, dare I say it, feminine appearance. His features are refined, with sculpted cheekbones, full lips, and an aquiline nose. His dark brown eyes are framed by long lashes that often provoke envy from womenfolk. He is medium height, about 5'10, with a slender build. His slender build belies his limber strength from dragonriding. Although he is strong, he will never have a bulky build. His skin is pale and he has freckles across his face. B'lor blushes easily and he has a terrible poker face, his emotions always showing clearly in his expression and body language. He has quite a young face, and is easily mistaken for being younger than he is. Sometimes that is an advantage, but other times, like when he's trying to be a respected bronzerider, not so much.

Celebrity Name for Face Claim Kiro
Character Personality: The one trait that will always define B'lor? Pride. He's lost that sense of brash arrogance that he once had, but he still carries himself with utmost dignity. In times of such chaos, he thinks it is even more important to retain a sense of refinement and elegance. He values the beautiful things that can still be found among the destruction. His appearance is still very important to him, and he is quite vain, always attending to his hair and clothing.
Despite his vanity, though, B'lor is capable of thinking beyond himself. He is fiercely loyal--to the Weyr, to his fellow riders, to his son. And protective, too, of those that can't defend themselves. B'lor believes that it is a dragonrider's duty to watch over everyone and he performs all of his duties faithfully.
Character Background: Belor was born in Southern Boll Hold, the son of wealthy, prominent Holdfolk. His family had been living in Boll for generations. He is the youngest child in his family and he was spoiled as a child. Because of his family's status, he never needed to pick a Craft, instead dallying around the Hold and being useless. He was thinking of courting someone and settling down when a Searchdragon from Fort sniffed him out. He decided to go to the Weyr, imagining himself on a big, beautiful dragon, respected by all Pernese.
He got his wish when he Impressed bronze Imahyth. And he quickly learned that being a rider was not all glory. It also involved a lot of hard work. By the time he graduated weyrlinghood, at age seventeen, he was a changed man. Still proud, still vain, but much more honorable.
Not long after graduation, his dragon flew a green and caught her. The rider's name was Carilla. She got pregnant and decided to keep the child. She and B'lor remained friends, but not lovers. After a son, Lorcan, was born, B'lor remained involved in the child's upbringing.
His life fell into a routine of riding duties and having fun in his off hours. B'lor remained a wingrider, as there were too many older bronzes in the Weyr to offer a promotion.
Then, the disaster struck. Carilla was out on patrol when her dragon was killed by a meteor fall. The merciful thing was to let her rider follow the dragon in death. That left B'lor the sole guardian of his son. Together he and Lorcan left Fort and escaped with a group of riders and holders to Dragon Weyr.
Dragon
Dragon name: Imahyth
Dragon color & appearance: Imhayth is good sized, even for a bronze. Though he'll never rival a queen, he can certainly give another bronze a run for his money, and his deep, rich, coppery hide, beautifully highlighted with a soft, golden undertone, gleams radiantly, making him seem even larger than he actually is. Imhayth has a proud, cocky gait and an even prouder, cockier attitude to go with it.
Dragon age: 15
Dragon personality: Imhayth believes in the finer side of life, even as a hatchling. He also believes that the finer side of life isn't free, however, and has a strong sense of obligation and reward. As a bronze, he feels it is his duty to oversee the wellbeing of his fellow dragons. In turn, he expects them to lavish him with affection, attention, and everything else that he so rightfully deserves. Failure to do so is swift to earn his ire. It's just fortunate that he's got a dragon's short memory, or he would be very annoyed, indeed.
Roleplay Sample
B'lor knew the exact moment when Carilla's dragon was hit. He had been out in the weyrbowl, walking towards the lower caverns. He recognized his own bronze's sorrowful keen, and the sudden feeling of confusion and loss almost pushed him to his knees. Esith is gone! Imahyth cried. I cannot find her!
"No!" B'lor didn't realize that he had yelled out loud until he saw the strange looks on the faces of those around him. Ignoring them, he started running, up to his dragon's weyr. Imahyth appeared on the ledge, his hide tinged with gray, his eyes almost colorless with sorrow.
B'lor found himself sobbing in a most undignified manner, but there was no one here to see him. He buried his face in the soft hide of his dragon's neck. Carilla had been a good friend, and his son's mother. He vowed to do whatever he could to fight against the new chaos on Pern, in her honor.
