Celebrity Name for Face Claim Finn Hudson
Character Personality: K’vys is cocky in his own right, being the son of the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader of Telgar, he feels he has some big shoes to fill. This has come across as being a bit know-it-all-ish in his youth at the Weyr. However, underneath that façade he’s got a good heart and an adventurous spirit. He can be quick to anger if he feels he’s being challenged, but he has an ability to help resolve situations as a peacemaker at times as well.
Character Background:
Born to Weyrwoman Janarva and Weyrleader K’vet of Telgar Weyr, Keevys always felt that he had much to live up to, especially as he was Janarva’s only natural son before she was unable to have more children. Raised by a wonderful foster mother in the lower caverns, but also spending much time with his high-ranking parents, only added to the pressure Keevys placed on his own shoulders.
Keevys was your typical weyrbrat, getting involved in mischief, enjoying adventure, and tussling with the others at times, but in his heart he wanted nothing more than to prove to himself and everyone else that he was worthy of being the only child of the leaders. It was not an easy task for him as he was often a bit clumsy and smaller than some of the other boys. He made up for it by doing his best to act the part, which came off as cocky and turned away some of the other kids, especially the girls.
When it came time for him to stand on the sands, Keevys prayed that he would not disappoint, and he didn’t. The moment Brown Oneth spoke to him, K’vys was forever changed. He got himself in a spot of trouble with the Weyrlingmaster at times as he acted as though his parentage gave him rights over the others, but K’vys soon learned the error of his ways as he mucked out the herdbeast stalls and other less than savory duties.
When L’yst, the Telgar Weyrlingmaster planned to leave, K’vys was torn. When his mother’s dragon Beleeth bespoke him and told him to go, K’vys did so. He expected his mother and father to follow, but little did he know that Janarva and K’vet were not leaving. Janarva and Beleeth loved their mates too much to stand against them, and so they remained behind and met their fate with the others.
How K’vys deals with what has happened remains to be seen.
Dragon
Dragon name: Oneth
Dragon color & appearance: Oneth is a rich, earthy brown in color, with little flecks that almost seem to sparkle like gold throughout his hide. He is of average size for a dragon of his age.
Dragon age: 1/2 a turn (6 months) – Gold Beleeth with Bronze Rotonth
Dragon personality: Oneth is not an overly egocentric or cocky dragon, though he does have his moments. He could most often be described as mellow, a peacemaker at heart. With a hint of an adventurous spirit, and willingness to please K’vys, he strives to be the best brown dragon he can be. In truth, he’d much rather wallow in the waters of a beautiful lake or glide through a glade at a leisurely pace if given the opportunity.

She is gone! The panicked voice of Oneth drew K’vys upright in a matter of seconds.
Oneth, whose gone? What’s wrong? Throwing back the makeshift cover, he darted through the darkness to his dragon’s side.
Beleeth. I can’t hear her. She is gone.
K’vys stared at the eye that seemed to swirl a bright orange even in the darkness of night. Suddenly, as if on cue, the dragons who rested around them, raised their voices and keened a sorrowful tune into the sky. K’vys watched dumb-founded as Oneth joined in the death-call.
Suddenly, it felt as though he couldn’t breathe. K’vys tried to draw in air, but his lungs would not fill. If Beleeth was…
“No!” Came the shrill cry of the young boy as he turned and ran from the dragons, unable and unwilling to comprehend what was happening. He might have run for hours and lost his way had one of the riders not intervened.
“K’vys. You can’t run from this,” the gruff voice spoke in his ear. “You are a rider now. You must stand tall and make her proud.” K’vys knew the voice, knew it for one of his father’s wingseconds. For once in his life, K’vys didn’t care who was watching, he threw his arms around the man and wept like a babe. They were gone. They hadn’t come with him as he’d expected. He was alone.
You are never alone, K’vysmine. Never. And he felt the love of Oneth, and he knew the Brown was right. K’vys would never be alone in his life, not with Oneth by his side.
