Tauren lay in a feild of golden grass. The grass, however, wasn't all that tall, and the sun wasn't all that hot. A nice breeze sailed over the hills throwing Tauren's hair about. He'd chosen this feild for sparring with his sister. In his mind, it was perfect for such practice. Still, Kel'in had yet to show up, if she didn't hurry the sun would set before they could even get a match in.
Tauren must have dosed off, because, when he opened his eyes, Apolloth, Kel'in's young dragon was starting down at him in the grass. Giving a manly scream, Tauren jumped into a sitting position. Kel'in who was sitting on the back of her dragon laughed, rolling onto her back, gripping her stomach with her arms.
"What the hell?" Tauren yelled at his sister. Kel'in just laughed. When she finally finished her little fit, Kel'in sat up and smiled down at her brother.
"You should have seen your face," Kel'in murmured.
Tauren scowled at her, turning away he said. "Get off your dragon, so we can start."
Tauren heard a thud. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Kel'in's feet firmly planted on the ground. In her hand, she held practice sword, a stick of oak shaped and sanded down into a sword. Tauren bent over and picked up his own practice sword from the ground. From his year of apprenticeship, he remember enough to make these little tools. They weren't anything special, but at least they hadn't broken yet.
Standing away from Kel'in's dragon, which now lay comfortably in the grass, Tauren and Kel'in both took defensive stances.
